Question: How do I paint on cork?

Answer: Painting on cork can be fun but a bit frustrating! Cork is porous and can 'suck up' the paint very quickly. To remedy this, transfer your pattern to the cork or sketch an outline with chalk. Base coat the area with white acrylic paint. Let this dry thoroughly. Now, paint your design as you usually would. When it is dry, apply a brush-on varnish to the design area ONLY.

Let the cork dry and cure for a couple days before you begin to use it!
